A New Chapter for
Indian Aviation
On 12th January 2024, Refuge Events had the honour of designing and delivering the inauguration of the AAR Indamer Technics MRO Facility at the MIHAN Special Economic Zone, Nagpur — a state-of-the-art joint venture between AAR Corp. of the United States and Indamer, India's oldest MRO company.
The facility was formally inaugurated by Hon'ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, with Hon'ble Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari as chief guest, and former Union Minister Shri Praful Patel in attendance — alongside AAR and Indamer leadership, the Maharashtra state administration and India's aviation industry. The facility marks a defining moment for India's narrow-body aircraft MRO ecosystem and for Nagpur's emergence as the country's aviation services hub — reinforcing Refuge Events' track record in event management in Nagpur at the highest protocol level. Every element of the day was crafted to honour both the engineering stature of the facility and the protocol gravity of the dignitaries it welcomed.

Multi-VVIP Protocol
Coordinating the protocols of two sitting Union Ministers, a former Union Minister and the state administration — with SPG, SEZ security and DGCA clearances stacked across every supplier and crew member.
Operating Hangar Build
Transforming an active MRO hangar into a 800-capacity ceremonial venue without compromising aircraft operations, equipment safety zones or DGCA-mandated clearances around live machinery.
Indo-US Brand Story
Weaving AAR Corp.'s American heritage with Indamer's Indian legacy into a single visual language — global, contemporary, and unmistakably rooted in Nagpur.
National Media Spotlight
Hosting national business, aviation trade and regional press simultaneously — designing media risers, broadcast feeds and press briefing zones without disrupting the protocol choreography.

Made It Happen
We approached the launch as a state-level aviation inauguration first and a corporate event second. Working in close coordination with AAR Indamer's leadership, the offices of the Union Ministers, MIHAN authorities and the state administration, every decision passed through three filters: national protocol, aviation safety and an unmistakably global standard of brand storytelling.
Strategic Discovery & Protocol Mapping
Briefings with AAR, Indamer and the Ministry of Civil Aviation advance teams to chart the ceremonial sequence, protocol layers and the strategic narrative for the day.
Hangar Design & Build
Transformed the MIHAN MRO hangar into a ceremonial venue with a custom dais, large-format LED backdrops, aircraft showcase area and an 800-capacity climate-controlled guest zone.
Technical Production
Deployed broadcast-grade AV with redundant power, three large-format LED walls, multi-camera PTZ setup and dedicated broadcast feeds for national business, aviation trade and regional press.
Guest Experience & Facility Tour
Designed a refined arrival journey for 800+ invitees — Union Ministers, AAR's US leadership, Indamer's team, state dignitaries, aviation industry and press — with a curated facility tour and welcome kits.
Flawless Execution
A 55-person on-ground team operating through three full rehearsals and a synchronised D-day run — every cue, escort and ceremonial timing precise to the minute, with every VVIP arrival and departure executed without delay.
